George Pacheco ID’d as Man Killed in Oakdale Crash on Orange Blossom Road near Lancaster Road
Oakdale, California (May 19, 2021) – Authorities have identified the man who died Tuesday evening following a head-on collision east of Oakdale as George John Pacheco, 78.
The deadly two-car accident happened at around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, on Orange Blossom Road near Lancaster Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, Jesus Perez, 23, of Oakdale, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Orange Blossom Road when, for unknown reasons, he allowed the vehicle to drift into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a northbound Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Pacheco.

Pacheco was pronounced dead at the scene while his passenger, a 76-year-old woman, sustained major injuries.
Jesus Perez Arrested in Fatal DUI Crash in Oakdale
Perez and one of his passengers sustained major injuries. A second passenger in the Silverado had minor injuries. Their conditions were not immediately disclosed.
Investigators later determined that Perez was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. He was ultimately arrested.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
