Rider Suffers Major Injuries in Lucerne Motorcycle Accident at Highway 20 and Bell Ray Avenue
Lucerne, California (July 11, 2020) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Friday afternoon in a traffic crash at an intersection in Lucerne, according to a local news source.
The accident happened at around 4:46 p.m. Friday, July 10, at the intersection of Highway 20 and Bell Ray Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said the motorcyclist collided with a white Toyota car at the Lucerne intersection near the Lucerne Elementary School.
Major Injury Motorcycle Accident on Highway 20 in Lucerne
Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided medical aid to the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries in the crash. The rider was then taken to Sutter Lakeside Hospital and was later airlifted to another hospital for further treatment.
The name and current condition of the patient were not disclosed.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
