66-Year-Old Woman Killed in Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Accident at Main and 97th Streets

Los Angeles, California (February 3, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Tuesday evening at an intersection in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood in Los Angeles, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened at around 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, at the intersection of Main and 97th streets.
According to authorities, the pedestrian, a 66-year-old woman, walking westbound on 97th Street outside of a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle that was heading southbound on Main Street.

The woman was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Her name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle involved did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. The suspect’s vehicle, described as a white pickup truck with wood paneling, was last seen heading southbound before turning east onto 98th Street.
A reward of up to $50,000 is available for anyone who provides information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
