Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Fresno Crash at West Clinton and North Fruit Avenues

Fresno, California (February 3, 2021) – A motorcyclist was critically injured Wednesday afternoon in a traffic accident at an intersection in Fresno, according to a local news source.
The major injury collision occurred at about 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of West Clinton and North Fruit avenues, authorities reported.
According to the authorities, a minivan was traveling on North Fruit Avenue when the driver allegedly ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a motorcycle that was heading westbound on West Clinton Avenue.
The motorcycle reportedly caught fire upon the impact.

The motorcycle rider, whose name was not immediately disclosed, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, authorities said.
The driver and two children in the back of the minivan were transported to a hospital for treatment. The children sustained head lacerations while the driver had minor injuries.
The minivan driver told the authorities that he was distracted by the two children.
