Los Angeles, California (November 5, 2020) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle early Thursday morning in downtown Los Angeles, according to a local news source.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly pedestrian crash, which was reported at around 4:50 a.m., happened on northbound 101 Freeway near Alameda Street.
The CHP said the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the northbound lane of 101 Freeway for unknown reasons.
Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Car in Los Angeles
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities shut down all northbound lanes of the 101 Freeway as they investigated the crash. Motorists were being diverted at Alameda Street.
