Major Injuries Sustained in Los Angeles Multi-Car Crash on 5 Freeway near Highway 134
Los Angeles, California (January 23, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle collision that happened Friday afternoon on a freeway in Los Angeles, resulting in major injuries.
The California Highway Patrol said three vehicles collided at about 3:54 p.m. on southbound 5 Freeway, just north of Highway 134.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that major injuries were sustained in the crash. The firefighters and paramedics were blocking the slow lane as they evaluated an unknown number of patients.
Debris from the crash was scattered in all traffic lanes.
CHP is investigating to establish factors that may have led to the collision.
