Driver Killed in Los Angeles Collision on 405 Freeway near Getty Center Drive

Los Angeles, California (February 16, 2020) – One person was killed in a wrong-way collision on the 405 Freeway in the Sepulveda Pass early Sunday morning, according to the CHP.

The wreck was reported just after 2:30 a.m. north of Getty Center Drive.

CHP said a flatbed truck was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the freeway when it collided with a Jaguar.

The driver of the Jaguar died in the crash. The victim’s identity was not immediately released.

The driver of the truck was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Authorities suspect alcohol played a role in this accident.

The incident remains under investigation.
