San Luis Obispo Woman Seriously Injured in Los Alamos Bicycle Accident on Highway 101 near Skyview Motel
Los Alamos, California (July 26, 2021) – A female bicyclist was seriously injured in a traffic accident Sunday in Los Alamos, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at around 7:15 in the 9100 block of Highway 101 near the Skyview Motel.
The CHP said a group of four female bicyclists was traveling down the steep road that descends from the hotel when one of them, a 31-year-old woman, reportedly struck the wheel of a car parked on the right-hand side of the road.
Major Injury Bicycle Accident in Los Alamos
The woman sustained a major head injury and was treated at the scene before she was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for further treatment. Her name and current condition were not disclosed.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
