Corning, California (June 17, 2020) – Two Corning residents were injured in a car crash at an intersection in Corning on Tuesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of Edith Avenue and Gallagher Avenue at about 11:30 a.m. June 16.

56-year-old Lori Patrick was driving a GMC Jimmy southbound on Edith Avenue when she collided with an eastbound Acura MDX driven by 22-year-old Anna Flores.

The impact of the collision sent both vehicles off the roadway and into the property on the southeast side of the intersection.

Patrick was seriously injured in the collision and was transported to Enloe Medical Center in Chico.

2Corning Residents Injured in Two-Car Crash

59-year-old Anthony Herrera, who was a passenger in the GMC, was also hospitalized with serious injuries.

Flores and a 1-year-old female child in the Acura were unhurt.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
