Loren Riley Injured in DUI Crash on Hill Road in Mendocino County
Loren Riley among 6 Injured in Mendocino County Car Accident on Hill Road near Dobie Lane; Milton Hoaglen Arrested
Mendocino County, California (August 10, 2020) – Loren Riley, 26, of Covelo, has been identified one of the six people who were injured early Saturday morning in an alleged DUI crash in Mendocino County.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at around 1:45 a.m. Saturday, August 8 on Hill Road, just east of Dobie Lane.
As per the CHP report, a 2016 Mazda CX5, driven by Milton Hoaglen, 25, of Covelo, was traveling westbound on Hill Road when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a large oak tree.
The vehicle caught fire after the crash.
Major Injury Crash on Hill Road in Mendocino County
The injured occupants of the Mazda were pulled out of the wreckage by bystanders.
Hoaglen sustained major injuries and was transported to Howard Memorial Hospital while his passenger, Riley, was taken to Mercy Medical Center with major injuries.
Four juvenile passengers, ages, 4, 5, 12 and 13, were taken to different northern California hospitals with injuries ranging from moderate to major.
Hoaglen was later arrested on suspicion of DUI, causing injury.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
