Long Beach, CA: Pregnant Mother Involved in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 405

Long Beach, California (July 1, 2021) – A pregnant woman was involved in a minor injury multi-vehicle pileup that happened Wednesday afternoon in Long Beach, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident occurred just after 4:00 p.m. on southbound Interstate 405, just south of Cherry Avenue.

Five vehicles, including a blue Mazda, collided for unknown reasons.

Berger Brindlyn was an occupant of the Mazda. She advised authorities that she was pregnant and needed paramedics as a precaution.

Paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that minor injuries were sustained in the crash. The number of patients, however, was not mentioned.

Tow trucks were requested to remove four of the vehicles from the scene.

CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the crash.
