Long Beach, California (February 18, 2021) – A Long Beach Crash involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian Tuesday evening left a 76-year-old Long Beach man dead, a local news source reported.

The deadly crash happened at McNab Avenue and Stearns Street at approximately 6:20 p.m. 

The Long Beach man was hit by the motorcycle while crossing Stearns Street in an unmarked crosswalk on February 16.

Officials affirmed the 23-year-old Long Beach male motorcyclist was moving westbound on Stearns at a high rate of speed before striking the pedestrian at the Long Beach intersection.

Fatal Long Beach Pedestrian Accident

The pedestrian, whose name was not immediately released, died at the hospital while undergoing treatment of severe injuries.

The rider survived with minor injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for medication.

Intoxication was not considered as a factor in the mishap.
