At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Long Beach Crash on Highway 91 to Interstate 710 Transition

Long Beach, California (May 9, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a major injury car collision that happened Saturday afternoon in Long Beach.
According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided at about 5:45 p.m. on the westbound Highway 91 to northbound Interstate 710 transition.
The vehicles collided for unknown reasons, and one of them rolled over.
Long Beach police and firefighters responded to the scene.
At least one person sustained severe injuries in the crash. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to take the patient to the hospital.
The accident left the transition road and the Atlantic Avenue on-ramp to northbound I-710 closed for an unknown duration.
