Pedestrian Killed in Long Beach Crash at Redondo Avenue and Hill Street

Long Beach, California (February 2, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle at a Long Beach intersection on Friday evening, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The fatal collision took place at around 7:15 p.m. January 31, at Redondo Avenue and Hill Street.
Police said a man was walking in the area when he was hit by a 2020 Ford Ranger.
Man Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Crash
The victim was rushed to a hospital with major injuries and was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The involved driver, who left the scene after the crash, later returned and reportedly cooperated with the investigators.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the accident.
The crash is under investigation.
