55-Year-Old Pico Rivera Man Killed in Long Beach Crash near Anaheim Street and Santa Fe Avenue
Long Beach, California (September 29, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a big rig on Wednesday morning in West Long Beach, according to police.
The crash was reported at about 10:35 a.m. September 25, near Anaheim Street and Santa Fe Avenue.
Police said a 55-year-old Pico Rivera man was walking westbound on the sidewalk of Anaheim Street when he entered the roadway and was hit by a tractor-trailer heading east on Anaheim Street.
Pico Rivera Man Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Crash
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. His name was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
The driver of the big rig stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The crash is under investigation.
