Live Oak, California (May 1, 2021)  A rider was hospitalized with serious injuries following a traffic collision in Live Oak Friday afternoon.

The major injury crash took place on Highway 70, just south of Chandler Road at about 4 p.m.

A s per the California Highway Patrol report, a black Enduro motorcycle crashed with a black sedan on the roadway under unclear circumstances.

Due to the impact, the car acquired major rear damage.

The unidentified motorcyclist was rushed to the Adventist Health and Rideout for treatment of major injuries including a broken leg.

Details regarding the involved motorist were not immediately established at the time of the report.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
