2 Injured in Lebec Car Collision on Interstate 5 near Fort Tejon Road

Lebec, California (June 29, 2021) – Two people were injured, one of them seriously, in a multi-vehicle pileup that took place Monday afternoon in Lebec, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to CHP, the incident was reported at around 2:31 p.m. on southbound Interstate 5, just a mile north of Fort Tejon Road.
A black Toyota Rav4, a dark-gray sedan, and a red SUV collided under unclear circumstances.
A driver of one of the cars sustained a broken left hand and abrasions, and another party complained of pain. Emergency crews were checking for injuries on parties in the other cars.
Two of the cars acquired major front-end damage.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
