Compton, California (June 28, 2021) – At least one person was injured following a multi-vehicle collision that occurred Monday morning in Compton, the California Highway Patrol said.

The CHP said the crash took place on the westbound 91 Freeway near Wilmington Avenue at approximately 4:14 a.m. on June 28.

The accident happened when a white Kia stalled on the right shoulder of the interstate in the morning hours.

A silver Honda Accord then veered off to avoid the collision, but it slammed into the Kia.

In the process, two or three other vehicles also crashed with at least one of the automobiles.

91 Freeway Multi-Vehicle Crash

The crash reportedly injured at least one person.

Officials requested tow trucks to remove at least two of the damaged automobiles away from the scene.

More details about this accident will be released after the CHP completes the investigation.
