At Least 1 Injured After Van Crashes Into Back Truck on Interstate 5 in French Camp

French Camp, California (May 20, 2021) – At least one person sustained serious injuries after a van slammed into the rear of a truck in French Camp Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Just after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, emergency personnel responded to Interstate 5 near the Roth Road onramp in response to the report of a traffic collision.

CHP said a white van rear-ended a big rig in the northbound lane of the interstate.

At least one person suffered major injuries in the crash. The identity and condition of the patient were not immediately available.

Interstate 5 is also known as West Side Freeway.

No other information regarding the collision was immediately provided.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
