Laura Christian Killed in El Rio Crash on North Rose Avenue and Central Avenue
El Rio, California (March 11, 2020) – The woman who was killed in a multi-car accident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in El Rio has been identified as Laura Christian, 67, of Ventura, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The deadly crash was reported at about 3:20 p.m. March 3, in the area of North Rose Avenue and Central Avenue.
According to the CHP, Christian was driving a Lexus ES300 northbound on Rose Avenue when she collided with an oncoming Ford Freestyle that crossed the center median.
Laura Christian Killed in El Rio Collision
Christian was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 68-year-old man in Christian’s vehicle was taken to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
The driver of the Ford was identified as Zachary Archuletadiaz, 21, of Port Hueneme. He sustained major injuries and was taken to Ventura County Medical Center.
Archuletadiaz was also arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The collision remains under investigation.
