Boy Killed in Lafayette Bicycle Accident on Merriewood Drive
Lafayette, California (July 28, 2020) – A 10-year-old boy was struck and killed by a delivery truck while riding a bicycle Tuesday afternoon in Lafayette, police said.
The fatal crash occurred shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Merriewood Drive.
According to the police, the boy was riding his bicycle on Merriewood Drive when, for unknown reasons, he was hit by the truck.

The boy was transported to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name was withheld pending notification of family.
The driver of the truck stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
