Krystal Kazmark ID’d as Woman Killed in Mammoth Lakes Car Accident on Benton Crossing Road near Pit Road
Mammoth Lakes, California (July 28, 2020) – The woman who died in a traffic accident Saturday night in Mammoth Lakes has been identified as Krystal Kazmark, 25, of Mammoth Lakes.
The deadly collision happened at around 9:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, on Benton Crossing Road, just west of Pit Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Joshua Daugherty, 30, of Mammoth Lakes, was driving a Toyota Tacoma Crew Cab on Benton Crossing Road at the speed limit when he made a series of turning movements that caused him to lose control of his vehicle.
The Toyota then rotated and skidded across the eastbound lane, where it was struck on the passenger’s side by an oncoming white 2016 Kia Sorento.

Kazmark, who was riding as a passenger in the Toyota, died in the accident. The driver of the Toyota and another passenger was taken to Mammoth Hospital with major injuries.
The driver of the Kia, a 71-year-old Hawthorne man, and his passenger sustained major injuries. A juvenile passenger in the Kia suffered moderate injuries. All patients were transported to Mammoth Hospital for treatment.
No other details about the crash were immediately provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
