Anaheim, California (July 29, 2019) – Kai Burke was one of the Utah teens who were injured in a suspected DUI collision late Friday night in Anaheim, according to a local news source.

The wreck happened at about 11:45 p.m. July 26, on Manchester Avenue and Orangewood Avenue.

Police said a man was driving a black 2014 Dodge sedan southbound on Manchester Avenue when he ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into a black 2019 Honda Fit heading east on Orangewood Avenue.

The impact pushed both vehicles of the side of the roadway and into a utility pole.

Burke was among five teens from Utah who were riding in the Honda at the time of the collision. All occupants of the Honda were taken to a hospital with major injuries.

Burke was hospitalized in the intensive care unit with a brain bleed.

The crash is under investigation.
