1 Killed in Jurupa Valley Crash on Interstate 15 near 68th Street
Jurupa Valley, California (January 25, 2021) – One person was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Jurupa Valley, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident occurred at around 10:50 p.m. Sunday, January 24 in the southbound lane of Interstate 15, just south of 68th Street, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, a Ford F-350 was traveling on Interstate 15 when, for unknown reasons, the driver swerved into the path of a Ford Mustang that was in the No. 2 lane.
The Ford F-350 reportedly struck the Mustang on the driver’s side. Due to the impact, the Mustang spun out of control in a southwesterly direction and went onto a dirt embankment.
The Mustang then crashed into a freeway sign post, causing the vehicle to split in half.
Deadly Car Crash on Interstate 15 in Jurupa Valley
The driver of the Mustang died at the scene. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The driver of the Ford F-350 was not injured.
