Jeffrey Latta ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in San Jose Crash on State Route 130 near Kincaid Road
San Jose, California (January 25, 2021) – The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office has identified the motorcyclist who died Saturday afternoon following a traffic accident in San Jose as Jeffrey Michael Latta, 49, of Novato.
The deadly crash happened at around 2:50 p.m. Saturday, January 23 on State Route 130, just east of Kincaid Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, Latta was riding his 1999 Suzuki westbound on State Route 130 when, for unknown reasons, he veered across the double-yellow line in a curve and collided with an eastbound Chevrolet Volt.
Deadly Motorcycle Accident on State Route 130 in San Jose
Latta was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Chevrolet driver stopped at the scene and was cooperative, authorities said.
Police closed State Route 130 during the investigation.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
