Huntington Beach, California (July 3, 2019) – 47-year-old Julien Cesar Solorzano of Monrovia has been identified as an alleged hit-and-run driver who triggered traffic collision that killed one person in Huntington Beach Sunday evening.

The fatal motorcycle crash, which happened at around 6:13 p.m. June 30, occurred on Pacific Coast Highway and 11th Street.

According to the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner report, the accident happened when Derrel Gollihugh, 26, of Long Beach was hit by the suspect’s 2006 Toyota Solara while riding a 2016 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail on the Highway.

Gollihugh sustained severe life-threatening injuries following the wreck. Gollihugh was then immediately taken to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange where he later died at 6:39 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2.

Solorzano did not stop after the collision, but he fled the scene of a deadly accident.

Solorzano was arrested and booked into Orange County Jail where he was charged on suspicion hit-and-run and other charges
