2 hospitalized after Julian Chemical Spill at Agua Caliente County Park on Great Southern Overland Stage Route
Julian, California (September 28, 2019) – Two people were injured when a chemical was accidentally spilled at a park near Julian on Friday morning, according to the authorities.
The incident was reported at around 9:30 a.m. September 27, at the Agua Caliente County Park on Great Southern Overland Stage Route.
Workers were reportedly mixing chlorine and muriatic acid to be used in a swimming pool at the park when they accidentally spilled nearly 50 gallons of acid.
Two Injured in Julian Chemical Spill, September 27
Two people were injured in the accident and were transported to a hospital for treatment of respiratory irritation.
Hazmat crews responded to the incident and dealt with the spill.
The incident is under investigation.
