6-Year-Old Julian Anthony George Killed in Pomona DUI Car Accident on White Avenue
Pomona, California (May 8, 2019) – A boy who was killed in a head-on traffic crash in Pomona Tuesday afternoon has been identified as 6-year-old Julian Anthony George, according to Pomona Police Department.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at around 4:24 p.m. May 7, 0n the 2200 block of White Avenue.
The accident happened when a dark blue SUV heading northbound crossed the center divider and crashed with a gold pickup truck traveling southbound. Due to the impact, the dark blue SUV stopped on a center divider facing the gold pickup truck. Both drivers were reported to have been allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and or drugs.
George was sadly pronounced dead at the scene following the crash. George was seated at the back seat at the time of the accident.
The truck’s driver was transported to a hospital in a critical condition. The authorities have not yet disclosed the status and extent of the injury suffered by the other parties.
Both vehicles sustained significant front hoods damage following the wreck.
Whites Avenue was closed for some time while the police conducted the investigation.
Meanwhile, the investigation is still ongoing.
