Antelope, California (March 9, 2021) – Authorities have identified the Lancaster victim who was hospitalized following a fatal a traffic collision in Antelope early Saturday morning as 44-year-old Joshua Dumas.

The deadly two-vehicle crash happened at about 12:20 a.m., March 6, on Avenue J near 70th Street East.

The accident involved a 1999 Buick Regal and a 1996 Chevrolet Impala driven by Dumas eastbound along the roadway.

Dumas reportedly drifted to the left side before crashing into Buick that was operated by a 76-year-old woman from Littlerock.

The female operator died at Antelope Valley Hospital while undergoing treatment.

Paramedics rushed Dumas to an area hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
