Jose Sandoval Jr., 25, Injured in Fatal Fresno Car Crash on Highway 180 near North Rio Vista Avenue
Fresno, California (July 30, 2019) – 25-year-old Jose Sandoval Jr. of Fresno was among four people hospitalized with major injuries following a suspected DUI collision that left one person dead and a driver arrested in Minkler, Fresno, on Monday afternoon, according to the authorities.
The accident happened at about 12:40 p.m. July 29, on Highway 180 near North Rio Vista Avenue.
As per the report, a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer SUV was traveling westbound on Highway 180 when the driver drifted into the eastbound side and collided with an oncoming 2011 Ford Explorer.
A 47-year-old woman, who was the front seat passenger in the Explorer, was killed in the crash.

Sandoval Jr., who was also a passenger in the Explorer, sustained major injuries, as did the driver and one other passenger. They were all transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the Chevrolet, who had moderate injuries, was also taken to CRMC. He was later arrested on DUI charges.
The crash is under investigation.
