Jorge Ramirez Jr. ID’d as Man Killed in Fremont Collision on Interstate 680 Off-Ramp to Mission Boulevard

Fremont, California (December 12, 2020) – The man who died following a single-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Fremont has been identified as Jorge Ramirez Jr., 19, French Camp, according to a press release by the Alameda County Coroner’s Office.
The deadly accident happened at about 7:45 a.m. on Interstate Highway 680 exit to Mission Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Honda Civic, driven by Ramirez Jr., was exiting onto Mission Boulevard from southbound Interstate 680 when, for unknown reasons, it veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree.
Ramirez Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the accident. Authorities said slick roads may have played a role in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
