Jorge Lindayen Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Sonoma Boulevard in Vallejo
Jorge Lindayen ID’d as Driver Killed in Vallejo Car Crash on Sonoma Boulevard near Lewis Brown Road

Vallejo, California (February 11, 2019) – The driver who was killed Friday night in a traffic crash involving two vehicles in Vallejo has been identified as Jorge Macaraeg Lindayen, 70, of Vallejo, according to the Solano County coroner’s office.
The deadly crash was reported at about 8:13 p.m. Friday, February 8, on Sonoma Boulevard, just north of Lewis Brown Road.
Police said a white 2000 Saturn SL 1 driven by Lindayen, was traveling northbound on Sonoma Boulevard when for an unknown reason it drifted into the southbound lane and was struck on the side by a blue 1999 Dodge Durango.
Lindayen suffered major injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. A 41-year-old Vallejo woman driving the Dodge sustained minor injuries and complained of pain.
Police said excessive speed does not appear to have contributed to the crash but investigators are trying to determine whether alcohol was a factor.
Vallejo police are investigating the accident.
