Johnny Menchaca Killed in Ventura Pedestrian Accident on Harbor Boulevard Near Beachmont
Ventura, California (February 11, 2020) – 37-year-old Johnny Menchaca of San Fernando Valley has been identified as the victim who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Sunday night in Ventura, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The fatal accident was reported at around 7:22 p.m. on February 9, in the area of Harbor Boulevard and Beachmont Street, near the Ventura Marina.
The circumstances that lead to the collision on the northbound side of the highway were not released at the time of the report.
The operator of the involved vehicle remained at the site after hitting the pedestrian.

Menchaca was declared deceased at the crash scene.
The crash resulted in the closure of northbound lanes of Harbor Boulevard at Beachmont Street temporarily as detectives worked to clear the scene.
The fatal accident remains under an active investigation.
