John Philbrook Killed in North Highlands Scooter Accident at Watt Avenue and Roseville Road
John Philbrook ID’d as Scooter Rider Hit and Killed by Semi-Truck at Watt Avenue and Roseville Road in North Highlands

North Highlands, California (December 13, 2020) – The scooter rider who died after being struck by a big rig Friday morning at an intersection in North Highlands has been identified as John Philbrook, 49, of North Highlands, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
The deadly accident occurred at about 6:00 a.m. Friday, December 11, in the area of Watt Avenue and Roseville Road, just east of Sacramento McClellan Airport, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, Philbrook was riding a Yamaha Zuma scooter-style motorcycle at the intersection of Watt Avenue and Roseville Road when, for unknown reasons, he was hit by a semi-truck.
Deadly Scooter Crash at Watt Avenue and Roseville Road
Philbrook was declared dead at the scene.
Police closed the roadway as they investigated the scene.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
