Trinity County, California (August 12, 2020) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a man who was injured in a car crash that killed a 15-year-old Modoc girl on Monday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 9:05 a.m. August 10, on Highway 299 near Indian Creek Lodge.

The girl was driving a white 2003 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck eastbound on Highway 299 and was attempting to pass vehicles when she collided head-on with a westbound 2015 Chevrolet 3500 pickup driven by Jimmy Easley, of Texas.

The impact of the collision caused the girl’s pickup truck to crash into the left rear side of a 3 axle semi-truck.

The unidentified girl was killed in the accident.

Mr. Easley sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
