Janet Chavez-Calixto Killed in Wrong-Way Car Accident on 5 Freeway near Highway 905
Chula Vista, California (February 5, 2020) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a second person who was killed in a wrong-way car accident that happened on Saturday morning
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Interstate 5 Freeway near Highway 905 at about 5 a.m. February 1.
A black truck was reportedly traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it collided head-on with a Focus driven by 23-year-old David Ramirez, an army veteran.
At least seven other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Ramirez and another driver identified as 24-year-old Janet Alicia Chavez-Calixto of San Diego were killed in the accident.
Two other people were injured in the accident and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
No other information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
