Janet Alderman Injured in Head-On Accident on Tuolumne Road near Hess Avenue in Sonora
67-Year-Old Janet Alderman Among 3 Injured in Sonora Car Crash on Tuolumne Road
Sonora, California (April 26, 2019) – A 67-year-old woman was among three people injured in a head-on collision that occurred on Wednesday evening in Sonora, according to the CHP.
The crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. April 24, on Tuolumne Road, just west of Hess Avenue.
CHP said a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 was traveling westbound on Tuolumne Road when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle swerved off the roadway and into a drainage ditch. The driver then overcorrected and drifted into the eastbound side, colliding head-on with an oncoming 2001 Ford F-150.
Janet Alderman Hospitalized after Sonora Head-On Traffic Accident
The driver of the Ford, Janet L. Alderman, 67, was taken to Adventist Health Sonora with moderate injuries. Her passenger also suffered moderate injuries and was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
The driver of the Dodge was treated for minor injuries. The driver was then arrested on charges of DUI and causing bodily injury.
