2 Men Injured, 1 Critically in Jamul Crash on Twisting Canyon Road
Jamul, California (March 9, 2021) – Two men were injured, one critically in a head-on collision on Thursday morning in Jamul, authorities said.
The accident occurred at about 5:25 a.m., on March 4, on Twisting Canyon Road.
According to the police, a Honda crossed over into the oncoming traffic lane and collided head-on with another vehicle.
The collision impact reportedly sent the engine block of the Honda over 150 feet off of the roadway
2 Injured in Crash on Twisting Canyon Road
The Honda’s driver was trapped in his vehicle and was extricated by the first responders. He was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Honda lost traction on the wet road, and speed was a factor in this crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
