Venice, California (June 1, 2021) – James Cody Skene, 29, has been arrested following a DUI crash that killed an elderly pedestrian Saturday night in Venice, according to the authorities.
The deadly accident occurred at about 9:45 p.m. Saturday, May 29, on Lincoln Boulevard at East Marco Court.
According to the police, a 91-year-old man was walking on a sidewalk on Lincoln Boulevard when he was struck by a motorized scooter driven by Skene, who had a female passenger on board.
The elderly man hit his head on the pavement after the crash.
