4 Killed in Humboldt County Plane Crash near Dinsmore Airport Identified

Dinsmore, California (July 16, 2021) – The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has disclosed the identities of four people who died after a small plane crashed and burned in a wooded area near Dinsmore in Northern California on Thursday.
The crash happened at about midday on July 15, near the Dinsmore Airport in Humboldt County.
A single-engine Mooney M20J is reported to have crashed and burst into flames for unknown reasons.
Four people were killed in the crash.
The four were identified as: 56-year-old Jacquie Ann Figg, of San Bernardino; 62-year-old John Malinowski, of Sacramento; 63-year-old Steve Sanz, of Orange County; 69-year-old Henry Punt, of Los Angeles.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the crash.
