Jackson, California (July 5, 2019) – An 8-year-old child was hospitalized after a two-car crash that took place Thursday morning in Jackson, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at about 10:15 a.m. on Highway 88.

As per the report, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons, and one of them flipped over.

An 8-year-old child in one of the cars sustained a head injury and a leg laceration. An air ambulance was requested to transport the victim to a hospital. The condition of the other occupants of the cars was not mentioned.

CHP is investigating the cause of the crash and the responsible party.
