1 Severely Injured in Indio Pedestrian Crash at Van Buren Street and Corregidor Avenue
Indio, California (January 11, 2021) – A pedestrian was hit and seriously injured by a vehicle Monday morning at an intersection in Indio, authorities reported.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim was struck by a small Nissan at about 5:21 a.m. at Van Buren Street and Corregidor Avenue.
The report did not mention the cause or manner of the crash.
Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Indio Crash
An ambulance was sent to the scene to transport the severely injured pedestrian to the hospital.
The vehicle was towed away for evidence.
Both northbound and southbound lanes of Van Buren remained closed until the roadway was cleared.
CHP is investigating the accident.
