1 Injured in Indio Car Accident on 10 Freeway near Hayfield Road
Indio, California (September 24, 2020) – One person was injured in a collision involving a big rig on Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 Freeway near Hayfield Road at about 3:10 p.m. September 24.
A semi-truck and an SUV were involved in the accident. The manner in which the collision occurred, however, was not immediately disclosed.
The impact of the collision sent the semi-truck about 50 feet into a dirt shoulder.
One person was injured in the crash and was transported to Desert Regional Hospital for treatment.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
