At Least 2 Hurt in Weott Crash on Highway 101 near Weott Offramp

Humboldt County, California (January 18, 2019) – At least two people were injured in a crash between two vehicles near Weott on Thursday afternoon, according to the CHP.
The wreck occurred at about 4:30 p.m. January 17 on Highway 101 near the Weott offramp.
A black Nissan pickup and a Toyota Camry were involved in the collision.
The occupants of both vehicles were trapped and needed to be pulled out.
One person suffered major injuries and the second had moderate injuries. It’s unclear whether there were other injuries in the accident.
Two ambulances were requested to the scene.
The northbound traffic on Highway 101 was not moving as the officials worked at the scene.
An investigation to determine the cause of the collision is ongoing.
