San Jacinto Man Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Hidden Meadows Car Accident on Interstate 15 near Gopher Canyon Road
Hidden Meadows, California (September 15, 2020) – A man was killed and another was seriously injured early Tuesday morning in the Hidden Meadows area of San Diego County, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened just after 12:30 a.m. on Interstate 15, just south of Gopher Canyon Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, a 21-year-old San Jacinto man was driving his Lexus ES 350 northbound on Interstate 15 when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle and drifted off the freeway.
The Lexus reportedly traveled across a dirt-and-asphalt center median and went up a brushy embankment. It then crashed into a wire guardrail and rolled over several times back down the hill.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle as a result of the collision.
The driver and his passenger, a 21-year-old Perris man, were transported to Palomar Medical Center, where the driver succumbed to his injuries.
The name of the deceased person has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
Alcohol or drugs were suspected factors in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
