Henry Dykes ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Los Angeles Train Collision on West Exposition Boulevard
Los Angeles, California (January 5, 2020) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a train in the Leimert Park neighborhood of Los Angeles early Friday morning has been identified as Henry Dykes, 64, of Los Angeles, according to coroner’s office.
The crash happened at about 12:51 a.m. January 3, in the 2000 block of West Exposition Boulevard.
Authorities said Dykes, who had been reported missing, was suffering from dementia. He was struck by a Metro Expo Line train in the Leimert Park area.

Dykes died at the scene of the collision.
No other injuries were reported from the incident.
The authorities are investigating the crash.
Many pedestrians are hurt and several others killed in accidents in California every year. The causes of many of these pedestrian accidents include distracted driving, speeding, drunk driving, reckless driving, bad weather, wrong-way driving and failure to observe traffic laws. It is evident that negligence on the part of motorists is the leading cause of these accidents.
