86-Year-Old Woman Killed in Heber Pedestrian Crash on Heber Avenue near Main Street
Heber, California (January 29, 2019) – A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Heber on Saturday evening, according to the CHP.
The crash happened at about 6:18 p.m. January 26 on Heber Avenue north of Main Street.
CHP said a Honda Accord was traveling southbound on Heber Avenue when it struck an 86-year-old woman. The impact threw the victim over the hood of the vehicle before she fell onto the ground.
The victim was flown to Desert Regional, then later transferred to John F. Kennedy Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the Honda remained at the scene.
CHP said alcohol and drugs were unlikely involved in the incident.
The crash is under investigation.
