1 Injured in Hayward Car Crash on 880 Freeway near Whipple Road
Hayward, California (October 20, 2020) – At least one person was injured in a two-vehicle collision that happened in Hayward on Monday afternoon, October 19.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 12:17 p.m. on Interstate 880 Freeway near Whipple Road.
A white Lexus and a Dodge SUV collided on the freeway for unknown reasons. The impact of the collision caused the SUV to overturn onto its side.
One person was trapped inside one of the vehicles and had to be extricated by the paramedics who responded to the incident.
One person was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
