Hannah Tran Killed in Lake Forest Bicycle Accident on Santiago Canyon Road
Authorities ID Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Vehicle at Santiago Canyon and Modjeska Grade Roads in Lake Forest as Hannah Tran

Lake Forest, California (November 17, 2020) – The Orange County Sheriff coroner’s office has identified the bicyclist who died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday afternoon in Lake Forest as Hannah Tran, 42, of Orange.
The deadly bicycle accident, which was reported at around 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 15, happened at the intersection of Santiago Canyon and Modjeska Grade roads.
Authorities said Tran was riding her bicycle on the roadway when she was hit by a passenger vehicle at the Orange County intersection.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found Tran suffering from unspecified injuries as a result of the crash. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:56 p.m.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police. It is undetermined whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
Santiago Canyon Road between Falcon to Ridgeline roads were closed for the investigation.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
