Hanford, CA: Suspected DUI Wrong-Way Accident on Highway 198 near Houston Avenue
3 Injured in Hanford Wrong-Way Car Crash on Highway 198

Hanford, California (March 22, 2019) – Three people were injured in a wrong-way crash caused by an alleged drunk driver early Friday morning in Hanford, according to the CHP.
The wreck was reported shortly before 3:30 a.m. on Highway 198, just east of Houston Avenue.
The CHP said a 38-year-old man was driving his Honda Civic westbound on Highway 198 when he traveled into the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming Honda Civic.
3 Hurt in Hanford Wrong-Way Crash
The westbound driver and the two occupants of the other vehicle were all transported to Kaweah Delta Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
The authorities found the westbound driver to be impaired and arrested him for driving under influence of drugs or alcohol.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
